Referral FAQ
When does a referral count as closed?
When the buyer takes delivery and the invoice is paid in full. Payouts settle on the 15th of the following month.
What if someone visits my link but buys later without it?
We attribute for 90 days from first click, and forever once the buyer's email is linked to your handle.
Is there a minimum payout threshold?
USD 100. Anything below rolls to the next payout cycle. There's no expiry on accrued balance.
Can I run paid ads to my link?
Yes, on your own channels. You cannot bid on Vanta-branded keywords in search - that violates program terms.
Do I need to be a US resident?
No. We pay referrers in 100+ countries via Wise. Local tax documents may be required in some jurisdictions.
Can I refer myself?
Self-referrals are void. But refer a colleague and they can refer you back - that counts.
